Ahhhh…the weekend. Can’t you just feel Friday night coming on? Well, actually, if you are out tonight or have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do then…check out After Dark at the Waterpark at Tarza.

I know it’s a shameless plug but someone has to plug it!!!!!!!! $10.00 per person and anyone under 4 gets in for free. 6p to 10p. October 21 ONLY!

See you there or not. Either way. I’ll have fun and uhhhh you won’t.

Old Faces, Familiar Surroundings

Ahhh Guam. Some believe that the island is too small to make a life in. I believe in another: That Guam is too big to know everyone but small enough to know everyone’s business. I was proved right again after attending the Island Jamz Concert on Sunday, September 11, at the Statue of Liberty Park at Paseo in Hagatna. So many new faces. Locals and tourists alike. Then there were the faces that I had not seen since high school and, unbeknownst to some, it has been almost ten years since my life has been ruled by a bell. I, literally, ran into an old friend of mine that I had not seen since a wedding that we were a part of a couple of years back. Benny, I thought, left the island for school and life, but, no, here he was, happy and married, and surprise, surprise, never left Guam except for basic training. See "too big to know everyone but small enough to know everyone’s business" except in my case, small enough to fabricate stories for someone else’s existence! We were both shocked to be standing next to each other and the reunion hug showed it. (Turns out that, although I share many friends with my brother, I don’t get out enough to see all of the people I have lost touch with over the years.)

Superhero at it again

So I just celebrated another birthday. Kept my sister from delving in silence with a cellphone. Saved my brother from perishing in the depths of hell. Sent my baby brother to his future. It’s all in a day’s work. Superheroes. Sometimes we make life easier. Hmph…
